October 1, 2018 Board Meeting

Board of Directors Meeting Minutes

Call to Order:  President DeSantis called the meeting to order at the White Bird School Library at  5:01 PM.  Present were Steve Duerksen, Don DeSa, Susan Schubert and Carol Ansell.  Marty Ansell joined by phone.

Agenda:   President DeSantis requested an amendment to the agenda to add an executive session.  Carol Ansell moved to approve the agenda as amended, and the motion carried.

Minutes:  Steve Duerksen moved to approve the minutes of the September 15 Special Members’ meeting and the regular Board meeting of the same date.   The motion carried.

Board Member Vacancy:  Following the election of Susan Schubert as announced at the Special Members’ meeting of September 15, the Board had not taken action on the remaining vacant board seat.  After a brief discussion of the options available to the Board, Steve Duerksen moved that the Board appoint Darrin Malinowski to the vacant board seat, as he received the next highest number of votes cast, behind Susan Schubert by 1 vote.  The motion carried.  President DeSantis will call Malinowski.

Road Committee Request:  Don DeSa requested additional funds to purchase extra herbicide, at the cost of approximately $350.  President DeSantis moved to authorize the purchase.  The motion carried.

Executive Session:  President DeSantis moved the Board into Executive Session at 5:11 PM to discuss a Member with property improvements not in compliance with the TRRPOA Declaration.  President DeSantis ended the Executive Session at 5:14 PM.  After the Executive Session, the following action was taken on the item discussed during Executive session:  President DeSantis moved to use the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office to serve aMember with a letter that the Member had declined to accept when sent certified mail.  The letter will be updated to provide the Member until November 30 to bring their property into compliance.  Joe Wright will be engaged to ensure that all appropriate steps are taken.  The motion carried.

Carol Ansell moved to adjourn the meeting.  The motion carried, and the meeting adjourned at 5:15 PM.
